Happy Independence Day!

Ah, the Fourth of July. I spent my morning running the Peachtree Road Race, my afternoon at the pool and my evening refueling with some good old-fashioned American food: hamburgers (ok, turkey burger), fried pickles and ice cream. I hope your day was filled with some of the same. God bless America!

On a side note, do any of you runners out there use the Nike+ iPhone app? I've used it for almost two years now and until recently felt so-so about it. The latest update lets you see mile splits! It's incredible and completely eliminated my need to buy a watch. Two thumbs up. Highly recommend it!

  1. Hi Lucy,

Happy Independence day to you too! Oh does that burger look delicious and the ice cream even better. After I write this comment I`m heading right to my freezer to eat some chocolate chip ice cream! Such tasty photos and I didn`t run a marathon to compensate for the ice cream eating I will be doing. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  3. Hey Lucy! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I really appreciate it :) And it looks like you had an amazing 4th - congrats on the 10k and completing a month with no sweets! I admire your self-restraint. And I've tried using the Nike + iPhone app, but for some reason it's always given me issues.. maybe I'll have to give it another try. Hope you had a great 4th of July!

    1. I've never used Strava but I would think probably not. Nike+ has a ton of new social integrations that are similar to what I saw from Strava so it would sort of be like a competitor.
